Kay Smooth's "Seaman Jorley" Sets Dance Tone For Ghana

  


Just when we thought the term "Seaman Jorley" was missing in the Ghanaian music lyrical archives, the ever smooth singer in GH has resurrected the term again and it is now the new term that people are singing about in Ghana. You can call Mr. Kay Smooth as the "Music Ressurrecter" of our time dropping back to back music miracles on the Ghanaian airwaves.

The term "Seaman Jorley" which basically refers to a person's dearest one he cannot go without has been beautifully crafted in this new banger. The song is a very danceable Afro Pop tune which brings out the inner most versatility of the smooth singer.

He dedicates the song to his friend in the industry, Kofi Kinaata who showed him much love in the recording of "Heavy Equipment" another song that the whole nation cannot stop singing. Kay Smooth is gradually carving a niche for himself in the industry as one that keeps your heart swimming in sweet melodies all the time. The reason is just when you thought you have heard the best of him, he drops another even better one. Most definitely he cannot be graded as a one time hit maker because his next song is always better than the previous one. 

You can trace this from the tracks he has done with Shatta Wale, Dr. Cryme etc but "Seaman Jorley" comes in as a top notch song with a strong force on our music waves. DJs, events, Radio Stations, various music channels are all loving the tune and throwing their weight behind our brother, Kay Smooth.

Asked about the meaning of "Seaman Jorley" on a radio station in Accra, this brilliant musician who was then wearing a head gear and a cap took it off and told the presenter that, do you see my head gear? That is "Seaman Jorley" because the woman you love should be a sign post on your forehead and you carry her everywhere you go to show to people that this is your true love. So you must wear your love as a head gear and show it to the whole world, that is "Seaman Jorley".

This explanation he has well articulated in the song by telling his "Seaman Jorley" that her love takes him higher and brother Kay Smooth has fallen deep into her love. With his scintillating voice, lyrical prowess, well composed beat, good mastering and good back ups in the song can move every feet to the dance floor and every heart to sing along. 

The guys should watch out when their girls are listening to the song alone because the powerful lyrics and punchlines of Kay Smooth can steal the heart of any girl. Some of us can only plead with the smooth singer to tone down on how he will make our dear ladies feel so fly when they listen to his songs.

Nzema Community Fuming With Fire Over Prof. Gadzekpo's Comment On LGBTQ+

 Well I don't know whether to finally admit that school knowledge doesn't necessarily make you a wise person in life as clearly Professor Audrey Gadzekpo in her recent comment about the LGBTQ+ anti-gay bill has gotten to prove that point very clearly.  In her comments she claims as a research person and a professor she knows the cultures of two particular tribes in Ghana being the Ga people and Nzema people accept gays. This comment by her doesn't sit well at all with my people. Yes, I said my people because I myself I am an Nzema from Princess Town in the Western Region.  I don't know how old the Professor is herself to be making that assertion or the evidences she has to be justifying that kind of comment but in my more than four decades of existence on earth never have I for once heard that our culture as Nzema people accept gays as part of our culture.
