"Preposterous" : Former Auditor General, Domelevo describes request for handover

Former Auditor General, Mr. Daniel Yao Domelevo has described the request from the Board Chair of Audit Service, Professor Edward Dua Agyemang to hand over officially a comprehensive handover note to Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu to be preposterous.

From the wording of the letter from the Board Chair it will suppose that the use of the word "comprehensive" could mean a comprehensive handover note was not prepared before Mr. Daniel Yao Domelevo proceeded on leave which was ordered by the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo on 29th June, 2020 .

In his response Mr. Domelevo in a letter yesterday, 17th March 2021 has stated categorically that, he has not been in office for the past 8 months so how can he hand over when the letter from the Presidency dated 29th June 2020 requested him to handover to the Acting Auditor General Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu?

He even accuses the Presidency of not meeting section 27 of the Labour Act which states that at least a 30 days notice should be given to the worker prior to the leave. He said with this shortfall and unlawful notice for him to proceed on leave, he prepared his handing over notes and handed it over to Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu so he doesn't understand why he should be requested again to prepare another handover notes when he has not been in office for the past 8 months.

Below are the two letters, one from the Audit Service Board and the response letter from Mr. Daniel Yao Domelevo :
