Truth Corner : The Mark Of Intelligence, Intelligent People

Science has proven that intelligent people are very forgetful. I tend to agree because I think they spend alot of time thinking about innovative or bright ideas for the future. They always believe what they know already is not enough so they are always curious and want to learn more. They don't have time to focus on past things and people that are irrelevant to their current state or their future. They are always thinking of ground breaking inventions, innovations, world changes, problem solving etc. So when you find someone who can remember in detail a quarrel or misunderstanding you had with them 20 to 30 years ago then you should know which level the person belongs. Intelligent people easily forgive and are ready to make peace. They don't rely on the past but on the future. So may be in case you thought you were intelligent but you can keep issues you have with people bottled inside of you for years, let me tell you that you have been very unproductive with your thoughts and you are operating below your capabilities and potentials.

I meet people that probably we have had some issues in the past but I quickly want to embrace them and move on but you realise they are still holding on to the past, they can't forgive or forget but are holding on. Is it smartness or intelligence? No. It's just that the way your brain is wired you can't really think forward so you dwell in the past. You are probably holding a grudge against someone in this day and age probably because your brain is not fully put to it's optimum use, you lack intelligence.
Intelligent people don't really focus on the popular views or what everyone else is thinking, they are not populist. They always have their own opinion about issues all the time. If you can easily form an opinion about issues without depending on others, then you are intelligent.

Take note, most free spirited people who flow easily with people are very intelligent but normally those who are reserved, careful, calculative and seem to guage their relations with people no matter how intelligent they may think they are, they probably are not. The brain is like a can, you can either turn it into a garbage can or a treasure can. Keeping ill feelings, bitterness, unforgiveness, revenge, evil etc bottled inside of you means you are operating at the trash can level or dustbin level but if you easily forgive and forget, you are always on the go discussing bright and innovative ideas, accommodating and receptive, caring for others and passionate about developmental issues, goal getting etc then you are operating at the treasure can or treasure box level.

Intelligent people don't have time for nonsense so are at times very snobbish and mostly speak the truth, they really don't care about people's feelings when saying things the way they are and really do not care much about what others think of them. Intelligent people are leaders, business owners or enterpreneurs, they know how to manage, control and take risks. They are usually fearless and have power to take solid decisions in the face of adversities. They easily adopt and make changes. Once you are predictable you are operating below intelligence. Intelligent people are a mystery to others, nobody seems to understand them because they don't even understand themselves. Intelligent people mostly cannot even tell what they will do in the next minute, they are usually reactive but in a positive way. They become more proactive when birthing a new idea or something but they would normally wait for things to unfold before they react because they believe in their abilities to take a decision that can counter anything that has happened.

Intelligent people believe in themselves and are fearless. Intelligent people like to share, they share knowledge, wealth, ideas, opportunities, they help others and are very industrious. Intelligent people don't pretend at all, they are always real and mostly regarded to be proud but are usually down to earth if you get close to them. People get intimidated by intelligent people alot and they fall into trouble too often a time because they are not usually understood. I mean the level at which some people's IQ operates as compared to those who are intelligent, there will always be a contraction or friction. Intelligent people once they conceive an idea are consumed by it and stick to it no matter how long till it comes to fusion.

 Intelligent people are normally hated for their knowledge, ideas and suggestions because others can't accept it. Infact they cannot decipher the magnitude and latitudes of their thoughts and so you would find people trying to use less significant issues to belittle them or bring them down. It has always been so from time in memorial. Jesus was very intelligent, so was David and Paul but Solomon was wise because God gave it to him. You can see how Jesus, David and Paul fell into lots of troubles, yes, that is the mark of intelligence. Tell me which people fell into trouble more than these three in the Bible? Joseph too was one very intelligent fellow so I make it four. I can make mention of Daniel too. You can see how he suffered in the hands of his enemies for his level of intelligence. Intelligent people have lots of enemies. If you are loved by so many people you are probably operating below intelligence because you are just like everyone else. See how the Pharisees and Sadducees were intimidated by Jesus.

Every busy person is an intelligent person because they want to achieve something in life. Intelligence does not come from being among the best or first in the classroom but how your brain works is what makes you intelligent. If your brain thinks mostly about the future or you are consumed about the future then you are intelligent but if all your life your focus is on past things and how someone did something bad to you, you like comparing things, you can remember 1920 issue of how terrible you were treated, I put it to you, you have wasted or wasting your brains. Anyone who is satisfied with his current state of life but not aspire for greater heights is not an intelligent person. Intelligence comes with future aspirations and achievements.

It's very unlikely to see intelligent people fail in life unless ofcourse for alot of underlying or sometimes unexplainable reasons but it's hard to associate failure with intelligence. In the military or police they have an intelligence unit and what they do is they gather facts, evidences, traces and strategize on how to solve a problem. This is what intelligent people do, they are very strategic and have an eye for the future. Any future oriented person is an intelligent person. The white people are not wiser than us but they are more intelligent than us. Some have a very high IQ level and you see how their countries and economies are comparing it to Africa. Africans are usually wise when it comes to irrelevant things.

Intelligence does not come with classroom scores but your position in life. Physical possessions does not make you intelligent but the impact you have on people and soceity that is what makes you intelligent. Differentiate between retentive memories and intelligence. Intelligence is applied but retentive memory reproduces what was stored in the past. A person having retentive memory does not mean intelligence. Intelligence is what you do when faced with a problem or situation you have not encountered before. Your ability to solve problems, not science or mathematical problems but problems that are economic, societal and your personal problems. This to me is your mark of intelligence. Someone like Dr. Bawumia I consider to be a very intelligent person but Ex-President Mahama has a stronger retentive memory (my personal observation).

Between the lines of intelligence and stupidity you find a great mass of population in the middle, some at times in the center may drift to the left or the right. Intelligence is extreme so is stupidity but in the middle you have the moderate group which most people are usually found. Moderate group is the bracket that everyone loves to safely belong and it's shaped by education, exposure, orientation, training, inclination, personal ambitions, posture, approach to life, indoctrination, religion etc. Evil people are usually not intelligent in nature no matter how crafty they are. Infact being evil is stupidity, it's just like seeing poison and swallowing it. So do you understand the moderate group now? Yes you might have an intelligent person practicing evil or a foolish person practicing evil, they fall within the moderate group. In the moderate group you find all kinds of persons. 

Intelligence is also very different from wisdom. Wisdom is divine, a gift from God and it mostly comes with knowledge.

Intelligent people may not necessarily be wise people because they can deploy their intelligence in an unwise way. What is smart or intelligent about creating nuclear weapons or even a virus that destroys humanity? Albert Einstein said, a mouse doesn't create a mouse trap but humans create nuclear weapons and bombs. Let's becareful not to replace wisdom with intelligence. Intelligence if not deployed in a good way becomes folly. All that you have learnt in school and your various scientific discoveries, what are you using it for? For the good of humanity or to destroy soceity? May I put it to you that if you apply your intelligence to destroy others and not rather build them up or change soceity then you are a FOOL.

The above are not based on any school of thought but my personal observation in life and they are entirely my opinion and not from any source. I know many will not agree with my stands but like I said it's my personal opinion and observation. By the time you finish reading you will know which class you fall into.
