Akuffo-Addo Should Be President And Mahama Vice Or Vice Versa

Image
When you speak to every ordinary Ghanaian I can tell you that majority want development and better economic conditions for themselves and families. Many of us don't really care about which party is in power so long as our dear country's destiny can be transformed to become the likes of China, UAE, USA, Russia, Malaysia, Japan etc.  All we need is development. If Mahama brings it we will accept it so is Akuffo-Addo. Ghanaians per nature are not divisive and we love ourselves but unfortunately we have used party lines to divide ourselves so much that at times it turns to violence. Recently just the voters registration exercise you can see the various violence that erupted at places like Kasoa and other parts of the country.  We know very well that most of these Politicians when they win power don't really care much about us so we want our fair share of the national cake through development. Akuffo-Addo has demonstrated resilient leadership in terms of putting the economy back...

Your Soul Is The Only Thing You Can TaKe Along With You So Guard It Well

Image
A little over 100 years ago some people were here on earth, today they have all varnished into thin air. A little over 100 years from now another new batch of people will take over this earth. So what's the rush and all the disrespect to people? What is it that you have that God did not give to you or what is it that you have that you think someone wants? Certainly not some of us because we have a higher reasoning and thinking about life. If your entire being is consumed about material wealth then you have agreed that your soul has no place in heaven. On this earth we came naked and naked we depart. Position, properties and power should mean nothing to you as a man because the better of it is held by a Supreme Being. Anytime there is a better option, the former becomes inferior. God is a better option to anything on this earth so I will rather go in for God. If you want to reign in life seek the things that interest God first not man.  Mathew 6:33 says, seek ye first the kingdom of...

Stonebwoy Needs To Becareful With Violence And Guns

Image
Stonebwoy needs to becareful with his career. No debate that the he is very talented but I know for sure that if Satan cannot fault your talent, he deliberately looks for trouble for you to cage your talent so you cannot use it. The devil sends you to jail and that is how he prevents your talent from bearing it's fruits. During the VGMA awards in 2019 he pulled a gun on stage when he felt threatened by Shatta Wale and his fans.  He is reported to have done the same thing at East Legon when defunct Menzgold wanted to come for their car given him, he pulled a gun I heard on Bulldog. His bodyguard also tried beating Kelvinbwoy at Ashiaman and now he has punched the eye of AngelTown who is rapper Sarkodie's Manager. The Bible says anyone who lives by the knife dies by the knife so he must be very careful.  We don't want to wake up one day and hear he has either shot someone or has been shot or has been jailed for violence. Stonebwoy must know he is a family now and the kind...

The Selfish Net (Money Is A Spirit)

Image
Whiles the government is trying hard to expand one net called the tax net, there is this other net it has to try to shrink among men and women in the country, in any country. The selfish net is the number of people drawn into selfish acts where each individual in a community, family, nation etc looks out for themselves alone or their families. They don't care about what happens in society or what happens to the next person on the street. So long as I can get what me and my family can eat, it doesn't matter if everybody dies.  The selfish net is that invisible net that pastors, mallams, spiritual leaders etc are drawn into that they care only about themselves and their followers, society can die for all they care. The selfish net is responsible for corruption in our society, among government officials and political parties. Let us win power, create, loot and share among us is the slogan. Nobody cares about tomorrow's future leaders of Ghana but the wealth we can amass for ...

Politics Is For Political Science Students As Banking Is For Bankers

Image
What will kill the black man is not any virus, it is the lack of foresight and preparedness to cause changes in our lives, countries and continent right from the leadership to the commoner. Africans resort to God when they cannot think and use the brains that God has given them to work out solutions to their problems. Our leaders go begging and borrowing everyday anytime we have a problem but our countries are always the same.  Anything that happens in Africa we look at the Whites for solution. Why were we not created with white skins? Why is IMF, World Bank not situated in Africa? We have just conceded that the black man is not capable of managing his own affairs without the white supremacy involvement.  We use all the funds allocated to us from IMF, World bank etc for politics when there are hungry children in our communities. Our continent is always the same, we don't see any significant economic growth andiand development because we always wait for the crumbs from our mast...

Our Politicians Must Go In For Civilised Girls If They Choose To Be Promiscuous

Image
Ofcourse I have been following world news but I think Ghanaian "celebrities" are the hungriest and ignorantly materialistic to the core. It's only in Ghana that Akuapem Poloo is classified as a celebrity. One person acts just one unpopular 'kumawood' movie and he or she becomes a celebrity. Funny! Pardon me, they are not "celebrities" but "ashawobrities". Ashawobrity is a "by force" celebrity only on social media because they lack shame to naked themselves on camera to lure irresponsible "dead but walking" rich men. Yes they are dead but walking because the money which God gave to you or rather Satan helped you steal, instead of taking care of the needy in society, they rather choose to be removing the dirty panties of these slay queens for which thankfully public disgrace will not elude them also.  Not too long we saw some in pyjamas and now we have in the midst Mz Bell and Tracey Boakye (two very insignificant popular wo...

The Realities of Racism in the United States

Image
By Julius Opuni Asamoah (BSc, MBA, CA) A race is a group of people, with particular similar physical characteristics, who are considered as belonging to the same type, or the fact of belonging to such a group who share the same colour, language, history, characteristics, etc. There are different races in the world but find themselves in difficulties to live in harmony. This has brought about racism. Racism is very dangerous for human existence. It goes with much prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. Racism includes racial discrimination, racial segregation, racial prejudice and bigotry, xenophobia, chauvinism, apartheid etc. The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races is an outright racism. Several abounding evidences have prov...

๐ŸšฉBased on the current trend, the Ghana Cedi is expected to end 2020 with a year-to-date depreciation of less than 5.0%. This would be better than the 8.33% loss over the same period last year. The local currency has since January 1, 2020 lost 24 pesewas to the American ‘green back’, approximately 2.60% in value to the US dollar. Many analysts have attributed the strong performance of the cedi to the Bank of Ghana’s bi-weekly Foreign Forward Auctions and Spot Market interventions, which is supported by healthy secondary reserves, equivalent to about 4.3 months of imports. Also, the loss in the value of the dollar to some global currencies on the external front, amid rise in covid-19 pandemic and political uncertainty in the US has benefited the cedi. Economic and currency analyst with Databank Research, Courage Mantey told Joy Business, “Overall we see foreign portfolio outflows from Ghana’s domestic market as the key risks to the cedi stability which could become pronounced as the ele...
